ILF Ghana Leads Leadership Session for 285 Junior High School Students
The International Leadership Foundation Ghana (ILF Ghana) took part as a partner in the Empowered for Transformation Seminar 2.0. The Hit the Books Campaign organised the seminar on Friday, 18 September 2026, at Christ Apostolic Church International, Alajo Assembly, in Accra.

The seminar brought together 285 junior high school students from Alajo and the surrounding communities. Many young people at this stage make important decisions about their studies, careers and personal habits without steady mentorship. The seminar aimed to close that gap by connecting students with professionals, practical learning and role models.
ILF Ghana led the session on Leadership and Personal Development. Richmond Kwame Agyare, Lead, Brand, Communications and Digital at ILF Ghana, guided students to reflect on character, personal responsibility and setting direction for their future. The session encouraged them to see leadership as something they can practise now, in school, at home and in their communities.
“Every student has influence. The real question is whether your influence is making your school and the people around you better.”Richmond Kwame Agyare, ILF Ghana

The programme also included an introduction to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, a keynote from a young female STEM professional, and a hands-on science laboratory session. The seminar supported the goals on quality education, gender equality, good health and reduced inequalities.
ILF Ghana’s involvement reflects its commitment to developing leaders at every stage of life. Helping young people build character and a sense of purpose early prepares them for the responsibilities they will carry later.
